FUCK SCHOOL!!!

MAN! I hated school growing up. And you probably did too. School sucks… It’s a sad sad state of affairs.

Here are some links to get you started on professionally fucking school (right in the…)

[Unschooling.com]

[John Holt and Growing Without School]

I’m sure there’s a ton of other shit out there, but there should be PLENTY of search terms buried in those links to take you to where you want to go. School is SUCH a fucking waste of time. Example (from today, shortened.)

Me: “Could I teach Chinese at your school.”

Owner Guy: “You speak Chinese?”

Me: “Yeah, I’m like fluent. I also have a experience teaching kids aged 4-14.”

Owner: “Do you have a degree?”

Me: “No.”

Owner: “OHH! You gotta get that degree! It opens doors. etc.”

MAAAAAANNN!! FUCK SCHOOL!!! My Chinese aint perfect but I would challenge ANY 4 year recent graduate of college to a teach-off or a Chinese speak/read off. I would fuck them the fuck up. It’s like EVERYONE is brainwashed about what a degree and going to school REALLY represents. The shit is BULLSHIT! HUGEST WASTE OF TIME IN LIFE!!! lol

Ah yes… I fell better. Really though. There’s a TON of shit broken about the “educational” system in the US. And just the system of things in general. I know school can be mildly cool sometimes or something… meh. Sheep leading sheep leading sheep leading sheep… I’m going to fucking sleep now. Good night! šŸ˜€

You bring a good point. There are actually some very controversial ideas why the education system is the way it is, and what you experienced is the “undesired effect”. Some believe that our education system needs to leave its “Cold War” state of thinking and transform into a more modern diverse freelance style of schooling but some don’t want to change. Others feel that the education system is a subliminal program that converts people into “good citizens” (notice that the curriculum in school, and then notice all the “revelations” you learn once you leave (history, way things work, etc.)

Lastly, some feel that its a way to keep racism and our class (economic) in power within our nation. By raising the price to go to school only those can truly afford it (1% wealthy in our nation) can continue to stay wealthy because they can afford the education needed for the high end salary jobs. A lot of fascinating stuff online in this regards.

Yeah it’s frustrating for sure, I agree that it is a useless piece of paper (90% of my friends that have a degree don;t use it or at least don’t use it in the field they studied). BUT… it opens doors, it opens doors that have nothing to do with it.. but it still opens them. My firm sense and love of logic is royally offended by this situation but it is the current reality.

In all this time out of school, haven’t you found any better words to express your displeasure than f#@k? Remember that book on curses? You need to learn some “high nasty”.

@ miltownmom LOL, that was awesome!

I can tell you that the purpose of public schools is to teach Americanism. I didn’t make this up I learned that when I was an education major – it’s in the textbooks. Of course it’s OK if you learn to read, write, spell and count at the same time but that is not what you are there to learn.

Same goes for any other country in Brazil it’s Brazilianism.

From a teacher’s point of view in a public school, the only thing that the administration is concerned with is your ability to maintain order in the classroom, so you are more of a cop than a teacher which is why I am not a public school teacher.

Magda has a point. It does open doors but not because you have the degree but it who’s opening the door. They are just as brainwashed as the degree holder. LOL

Anyway, you’ve figured it out already…Success lies in effort, elbow grease, and networking. And perhaps a few other things. Break out of the Matrix.

It proves you can put up with four years of shit, a trait many employers value. The more docile the employees are, the lower the turnover will be.

  8. Steven says:

Degrees don’t open doors folks; they close them. Degrees close the doors on financial freedom (through absurd debt), creative freedom, and realistic freedom.

The worst part for me right now. The teachers at all of the local colleges have no qualifications for teaching Tai Chi. They suck at it too. The Universities socialize education to the degree that dimishes the quality -and quantity if you count elaborate breaks- of Taiji.

A case can be made for the reduction of all relevant, useful subject: except institutionalized institutionalizing: i.e. funding only goes to increase technological advancement, not social nor artistic. Brilliant mechanized cultural lies at the end of a dark tube of “it opens doors for me.”

What a hacknied excuse for signing up for idiocy! Get a job.

  9. I saw your pushups video at another site and thought it was great. You gave this link during the video and that’s how I came to be here :D.

I love what you’re saying in this post and I agree. I don’t have a degree, but I am the most capable person I know and I’m a lifelong learner. Most people I know with a degree think they’re “done” learning. I worked in local gov and the people with degrees made more money than I did, yet I had to tell them how to do *everything* and they couldn’t even keep themselves prepared.

Lol @miltownmom I love her comment! It’s awesome. “high nasty” lol Right on!

school is mad useless. i would rather learn a different way. kids should be allowed to learn about what they want to learn about and then skills associated with the chosen topics of interest.
